BLUESTONE HOLIDAY PARK
Solar Farm
The solar efficiently converts sunlight to electricity. As the solar photovoltaic cells are subjected to daylight, electricity is generated and this is fed to a grid tie inverter that converts the DC electricity generated by the solar modules into useable AC mains voltage.
The sun is a variable power supply, depending on the time of day, cloud cover and season. Bright, long sunny days in summer will provide the highest performance. On overcast or cloudy days there will be less energy reaching the solar array and therefore less electricity is produced.
The solar photovoltaic (PV) system consists of various and separate components that all play a vital part in ensuring that the complete system operates at its maximum efficiency under all weather conditions. The solar array produces electricity that is fed via cables and isolating switches to inverters. The inverters are self-contained units which convert the electricity produced by the solar arrays into electricity that can be used or fed back to the UK electricity grid. There is no electricity storage facility such as a battery on this system. In the event of failure of the electricity supply, the inverters will automatically shut down and disconnect itself from the electricity grid. The function of each of the major components is explained below. These components are shown in the solar circuit schematic diagram.
CORBY
Corby Warehouse
JJP Services were contracted to fit out- to current standards , new lighting, power network, data , air conditioning , fire alarm, CCTV, intruder alarm to a recently refurbished warehouse unit.
The works also include attendances to other elements of the project – the automated gates and back up generator.
